You have to read this story to believe it. Apparently a fire chief marshal gets two traffic tickets in one day, goes to court (twice) to contest them and says some choice words about the police department’s speed traps. The police response? They shoot him… in the back… Right there in the court room. And the policeman is not going to be charged. And, as a feather in the cap, city hall isn’t releasing records about how the money from traffic tickets are being used.

That detail’s only one of the alarming parts. The whole thing sounds like the beginnings of some sort of Mad Max scenario.
